Overview

Engineered the backend infrastructure behind Iran's electronic tax declaration system — built to survive extreme seasonal load during annual filing windows while maintaining encrypted document handling and banking payment verification.

Role Summary

Built national tax filing backend sustaining millions of daily submissions during peak season with PDF/XML ingestion, job queuing, database sharding, and encrypted archival integrated with banking and identity services.

Responsibilities

  • Designed scalable filing API layer for seasonal peak traffic spikes
  • Built PDF/XML document ingestion and validation pipelines
  • Implemented RabbitMQ job queues for asynchronous declaration processing
  • Architected PostgreSQL sharding strategy for filing season data growth
  • Integrated banking payment verification and national ID authentication

  • Sustained 2M+ daily submissions during peak filing without outage
  • Reduced declaration processing backlog from 48 hours to under 6 hours
